I'm back!

Apa Kabar! (Hello!)

I'm back from Malaysia and have stories to tell!
I had a great time in Malaysia. Visited Batu Caves (limestone caves), Genting Highlands, KLCC, Perhentian Islands and so much more. I'll be sharing those stories through videos and I'll post some photos up here soon.

As soon as I arrived home, I had to start University almost straight away and now I am bombarded with numerous assignments. So it might take a while. But I will get there in the end!

Just like how I finally completed my 30 Seconds of 30 Days series on Youtube.

Misty's Diner and Chapel Street

Yesterday, I had an exam in the morning. All went well. It was an Indonesian exam. When it was all over, the sun was shining :)

My boyfriend, Chris, and I decided to go grab lunch at 'Misty's Diner'. 'Misty's Diner', (located on High Street Rd, Prahran) is a replica of a 1950's American diner. They serve everything and anything that's American. You want Butterfingers? Twinkies? Reece buttercups? Ben & Jerry's Ice cream? They have it! This is the second time I've been there and the food was great on both occasions. We ordered some curly fries, deep friend sweet potato chips, I got a Chicago diner dog and Chris got a Ranch Burger. Everything tasted great especially the curly fries. I have to say they were the best curly fries I've ever had! Hands down.

Afterward, we took a stroll down Chapel St. We discovered this quirky vintage antique store called 'Chapel St Bazaar'. It's a MASSIVE store filled with "bizarre" vintage furniture, clothing, accessories, items and anything 'antique-like'. I guess you can say its a quality vintage store because things aren't cheap in there. For example, I saw this lovely tea cup set of 4 (tea cup and saucer) for around AUD $60.

Then...I found this cabinet filled with vintage designer bags. The brands included Chloe, Prada, Valentino and others (I forgot). I fell in love with the Valentino bag. You could wear this bag in three ways: on one shoulder, as a rucksack or just on one hand. Its hard to explain. It was only AUD$59. I can't stop thinking about it so I might go back for it. Hopefully it stays there! Fingers crossed.

It gets worse...
We walk into a fashion boutique called "Friends of Couture" and the second I stepped in my eye was automatically drawn to this winter coat. And then... I did the worst thing a girl, who needs to save her money, could have possibly done...I tried it on. In an instant, I fell in love with it. I loved it soooo much! It was a camel coloured coat with military style buttons. I have never found a coat that had fit me so perfectly!  Despite the AUD$219 price tag, I still want it so badly. I don't NEED it. But I WANT it. For some, "wanting" is enough convincing. I may go back for it soon as well...

I've learned my lesson: Do not try anything on if I can't afford it.

After a few more shops, I figured it was best for me to go home, before I add anything more to my wish list.

Home sick...

In July, 5 of my friends and I will be embarking on a trip to Malaysia. I am by birth a Malaysian and consider it my home. I haven't been back in 2 years so I am very excited!

The thing that intrigued me the most on my last trip back were the colorful colonial buildings in downtown KL.

I wish...

Right now, I want nothing more than enough money to travel around the whole entire world.

I wish...
